Verona Peñalba is a Nicaraguan-born painter, creative guide, and co-founder of VEME Studios in Greenport, NY.

With more than two decades of artistic practice, her work centers on abstraction as a language for the unseen — emotion, intuition, and the quiet movement of the inner self. Water, gesture, and layering are recurring motifs, reflecting the fluidity of identity and the way memory and experience settle beneath the surface.

Alongside her studio practice, Verona has developed a community-focused art space that welcomes children, adults, and families into the creative process.
