Verona Peñalba was raised in Nicaragua and currently resides in Greenport, NY. She studied painting at Atelier Canova in Rome, Italy.
Peñalba’s work has been exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions including Codice Gallery, Managua, Nic; Pleyades Gallery, Managua, Nic.; Factory Studios, Bourthmouth England; The BOX Art Basel , Miami, Fl; NOFO Art Collective, Greenport, NY. and numerous independent venues in Miami, Dominican Republic and the North Fork of NY. Her work is included in several private collections including a Mural on Richard Branson’s Mosquito Island in the BVI.
She is also an IFS (Internal Family System) therapy practitioner and interconnects it in her practice and workshops, where she encourages a sense of calm confidence, courage, curiosity and compassion. Verona Peñalba is also co-host of the “Expansión’ Podcast in Spanish that touches on a variety of relevant themes and the importance of self-discovery through art and therapy.
Verona is co-founder of VEME Studios in Greenport, NY a space for everyone to explore and develop their creativity in a warm, safe and inclusive environment.
